Please verify compliance with submission guidelines
All requests for credentials must be submitted by the assigning editor or news/sports director of a legitimate and/or established news-gathering agency or outlet. Requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the event. Late submissions will not be accepted. Submission of an application does not guarantee access. Applicants will be notified via email if their request is approved or denied. All requests apply only to Hutto ISD Athletic Facilities.
Hutto ISD prohibits the sale of photographs from any Hutto ISD athletic event and will not provide credentials to any photographers whose purpose of those photos will be used for any purpose other than media coverage.
Hutto ISD enforces a clear bag policy at all events. All personal items, equipment, and equipment bags are subject to search prior to entry. Additionally, Hutto ISD reserves the right to revoke passes at any time, as deemed necessary by any Hutto ISD staff member or administrator.
Eligible Media
Credentials will be issued to working media members from recognized outlets whose primary function is news gathering. This includes publications, cable systems, radio stations, television stations, television networks, and online news entities. Employees of the school district and students involved in the yearbook must provide proof of their association with the yearbook. All media requests will be thoroughly reviewed and approved by the Hutto ISD Athletic Office, depending on space availability.
Field Access
Approved media must remain in the designated areas of the field. The media is never permitted inside the coach's box. Field access is limited to (1) individual per media outlet, with exceptions for major established affiliations. Issued credentials are non-transferable and must always be worn visibly at all times.
Press Box Access (Varsity Football Only)
Priority in the press box will go to the home-team and visiting-team media groups. Associated Press personnel may be granted a seat in the press box if capacity permits. In some cases, you may be required to sit outside the press box. Press box access is limited to (1) individual per media outlet, with exceptions for major established affiliations. Issued credentials are non-transferable and must always be worn visibly at all times.
Ineligible Media
To ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes, coaches, officials, and staff, access will not be granted to the following. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Freelance reporters and photographers are ineligible for credentials.
Selected parents, booster club parents, or parent volunteers are not eligible for credentials.
Independent websites do not qualify.
Social media channels and podcasts are not eligible for credentialing.
Fan-generated or unedited websites without affiliation to established news organizations will not receive credentials, including those allowing anonymous comments.
Weekly newspapers and local television shows do not qualify.
